A New Approach to the High Holidays

As we approach 5781, those of us in the Shoreshim Jewish Community wish to all a healthy and happy New Year. When we closed out 5779, and the Book of Life was inscribed, who could have imagined what 5780 held in store for our families, our community, our country, our world? Our day to day experience is so different, so altered, and the future seems so much more fragile for us all. While we are connected to the entire human community by this common experience,  it is as Jews, during this season, that we observe the rituals and celebrations that lend special meaning and provide timeless sustenance to us as individuals and community.

Fri., Sept. 18, 7:30pm –  Erev Rosh Hashanah Service
Sat., Sept. 19, 10am  – Rosh Hashanah Day Service
Sun., Sept. 27, 7:30pm  –  Kol Nidre Service
Mon., Sept. 28, 10am –  Yom Kippur Day Service

When it’s time, listen to the long blast of the Shofar to signify the end of Yom Kippur…

All Are Welcome

It has been our tradition, and our greatest honor to welcome the wider Jewish community to join with Shoreshim during our High Holidays observances. This year, the big difference, of course, is that we will be hosting all our services online. Our hope is that our lay-led, music filled services will help you reflect on the year gone by, prepare for the year to come, and come away inspired, strengthened both spiritually and in your connection to the Jewish community.

We invite those who are interested in attending any or all of our High Holiday service to SUBMIT THIS FORM and someone will contact you.  If you prefer, you can call us at 571-445-0563 and leave a message or send an email to info@restonshoreshim.org.
